The inn is situated on 160 peaceful acres in the rural, southwestern part of the state, not far from the Wisconsin Mississippi. It is an ideal place to hunker down with friends and take care of those last minute knitting projects you all have to finish by the 25th. Think of the fun you will have, side by side with your friends, creating something hand-made for someone special. Sip tea or wine together and talk late into the night as you inspire one another to work until you finish your projects; you won’t be tempted by the many distractions at home, but you should make time to stretch your legs with a long walk (or ski!) through the Kickapoo Valley. If you have a little extra time, head out for some interesting shopping.

The area surrounding our Bed and Breakfast Wisconsin is home to one of the largest Amish populations in the country. The Amish are known for their superior craftsmanship – echoes of an earlier time – and as a result there is some fine shopping near our inn. Peruse nearby Amish shops for beautiful quilts, sturdy baskets and attractive furniture, for you are sure to find a perfect gift for someone.

The Inn at Lonesome Hollow offers a completely private 160 acre setting in the beautiful Driftless Area of Southwest Wisconsin. If you have not seen our Driftless area and our Kickapoo Valley hills, you are in for a most pleasant surprise. Our landscape is one of continuous hills and valleys – a more rugged landscape than you have seen anywhere else in Wisconsin. The surrounding counties are rural and sparsely populated.

In this setting we offer our guests deluxe lodging options: three beautiful B&B rooms, a private, two-bedroom cabin, and two exceptional two-bedroom suites. All of our units have private baths and real gas fireplaces. Four of the units offer two-person whirlpool tubs. Full country breakfasts, winter hiking and snowshoeing, and memorable quiet time complete the enjoyment of a Lonesome Hollow holiday getaway.

Our Holiday Package is offered for two night stays between December 22 and January 10. This package includes a $25 dinner certificate at one of three local restaurants, complimentary wine and cheese at the B&B, a free gift from our gift case (up to $20 value), free use of snowshoes, and an evening bonfire with hot apple cider or hot chocolate.
